“The council members were astonished as they witnessed the bold courage of Peter and John, especially when they discovered that they were just ordinary men who had never had religious training. Then they began to understand the effect Jesus had on them simply by spending time with Him.” (Acts 4:13)
Chasing knowledge of the scripture apart from spending time with the author only births religious people. This is a massive verse that fueled a fire in my heart where intimately knowing Jesus is the greatest pursuit!
When first love is the genuine desire there will be no shortage of understanding scripture. Yet it will be by way of the Holy Spirit and not man’s carnal interpretation!
People need to see Jesus through those who follow Him! Just hearing words apart from encountering His character is a form of godliness, yet void of power!
