In today’s social media age we see this happening quite fast. Someone will come out of nowhere and appear to be the next super disciple, prophet, or apostle; have tons of followers/subscribers, begin to influence people and then disappear…
Churches and ministries open and close, which leave many people wounded, bleeding, and tailspun in its wake… Why??? This passage reveals the answer, and it’s based on Who was behind the plan!
What they were a part of was birthed by man, and so man is then left to keep the machine running. Although this can last for a time, even a long time in some cases, eventually it will lock up. What causes a machine to lock up? No oil!!!
Psalm 127:1 says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.”
It is crucial we seek the direction of the Lord and are obedient to be connected where He says! Scripture says, “But you shall seek the place where the Lord your God chooses, out of all your tribes, to put His name for His dwelling place; and there you shall go.” (Deuteronomy 12:5) Not this… “You shall not at all do as we are doing here today—every man doing whatever is right in his own eyes.” (Deuteronomy 12:8)
Beloved, not every thing that claims to be of the Lord Jesus truly is. Unless He has graced it to be and His presence is found dwelling amongst, then it’s of the flesh!
