In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.” (Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭6‬-‭8‬)

In this passage we see seven gifts the Lord has given to those in His Body.

1. To Prophesy

2. To Serve

3. To Teach

4. To Encourage

5. To Give Generously

6. To Lead

7.To Show Kindness/Compassion/Hospitality

It’s always baffled me why there’s such a debate that’s brought much division when the other gifts found in 1 Corinthians 12 are discussed, yet these found here are rarely presented.

So if the gift of tongues, healing, miracles, etc. have all ceased how is it not the same for these? Because it’s not true, all of the gifts are for now! Every gift should begin with Jesus, reveal Jesus, and bring Jesus glory! They’re all about Jesus!!!

Sadly, those in 1 Corinthians 12 have almost become an idol in many circles, and put before the people as the high bar… never really speaking of what’s found here, and many who are graced as givers are chasing being used for miracles, and missing the part the Lord has graced them to be…

Every person is unique, as scripture says, “Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.” ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭4‬-‭5‬)

In an age where elbows are trying to be hands, and pinky toes are trying to be eyes, we need be humble and align into the position under the grace we have matured into!

Your assignment will always be found in your alignment!!!
