Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them.” (Acts‬ ‭16‬:‭6‬-‭7‬)

All disciples must learn to be led by the Holy Spirit! You’ve most likely heard the saying “just because it’s a good thing doesn’t mean it’s a God thing.”

Let’s look at the living creatures Ezekiel saw. Scripture says, “And each one went straight forward; they went wherever the spirit wanted to go, and they did not turn when they went. When they moved, they went toward any one of four directions; they did not turn aside when they went.” (Ezekiel‬ ‭1‬:‭12‬, ‭17‬), why? “Wherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, because there the spirit went; and the wheels were lifted together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.” (Ezekiel‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬)

Even when they were not to go, “When those went, these went; when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.” (Ezekiel‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬)

Why must we be led in everything we do? “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” (Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭14‬)

To go without being sent, to do without being told, to say without first hearing is all birthed in the flesh. Whatever comes from the flesh, must be sustained by the flesh…

Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.” (Exodus‬ ‭33‬:‭15‬)
