MRE- Philemon 1:25

What is grace? It is the act of endowing unmerited favor. God gives us this gift we do not deserve. He secures our place in eternity with Him while at the same time empowers us to manifest Heaven here and now!

Mercy and grace are two sides of a coin, and the coin is love. Mercy is a compassionate love to the weak, and grace is a generous love to the unworthy. Humans are weak and unworthy, we all need God’s mercy and grace. Mercy draws us to the path of repentance and forgiveness, while grace leads us to justification, through sanctification, until glorification! Hallelujah!!!

As Peter says in 2 Peter 3:18 “Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.”

We grow in grace by studying the scripture and letting it “dwell in us richly” (Col. 3:16), through prayer, allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus Christ to us. Those actions by themselves don’t mature us, but the Lord uses these spiritual disciplines to help us grow and be conformed into His image (Rom. 8:29)!

“The Lord is gracious and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.” (Psalm 145:8-9)
