MRE- Proverbs 3:30

Posted by Iron Sharp on

A disciple of Christ is not one who should be looking to provoke any strife or arguments with anyone. Proverbs 17:14 says, “Starting a quarrel is like opening a floodgate, so stop before a dispute breaks out.”

Sadly the enemy will look to bring offense to someone any way he can. One way he does this amongst the brethren is when someone is convicted, and instead of rightly dealing with it they choose to let offense set in, which brings strife.

Paul writes, “A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.” (‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭24‬-‭26‬) ‭

We must be open to correction and so full of the Spirit that there’s no room for offense or division!
