MRE- Romans 8:1

Romans 8:1
“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.”

Lets bring verse two in as well

Romans 8:2
“And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.”

Scripture tells us that there is no condemnation to those who belong to Christ! Why is that? The Word of God tells us that Jesus did not come to condemn the world.

John 3:17
“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

The world because of its sin is already condemned and scripture tells us this, as well as what condemnation is.

John 3:18-21
“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

John 3:36 tells us further what condemnation brings “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

Thank you Jesus for the freedom you have given all those who have been born again and abide in You! Verse two of Romans 8 tells us clearly that the Holy Spirit is who gives us the power to walk free from the power of sin that leads to death. This is the second part of salvation, which is sanctification, which is our current state of being saved from the power of sin!

  1. Justification

Romans 5:1-5
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

  1. Sanctification

John 17:17
“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth”.

  1. Glorification
1 Corinthians 15:50-58
“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

To those who are in Christ, when the devil tries to bring up the things you’ve repented of, confessed and the Blood of Jesus has cleansed you of, then speak to Him with scripture “It Is Written”!!!

Jesus has given you the victory, it is time to grow in the knowledge of your inheritance and operate in it!

Be Blessed in Jesus Name!!!
