MRE- Romans 8:9

Romans 8:9 (NKJV)
“But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.”

This is one of the most truth filled passages here in Romans 8 where Paul is exhorting the believers to live in the Spirit.

What this verse is stating is anyone truly born again has the Holy Spirit dwelling in them. Scripture tells us this clearly.

Acts 2:38 (NKJV)
“Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Galatians 3:2 (NKJV)
“This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”

Ephesians 4:30 (NKJV)
“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”

A person who is born again knows it, there’s really no way to explain it because it’s a knowing of a knowing of a knowing. The Word of God says

Romans 8:16 (NKJV)
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

When the Holy Spirit is dwelling in a person they are awakened to the things of God. They know their sin is forgiven, as they begin to press into the Word and prayer a hunger and thirst is born and only Jesus can satisfy it! The Bible is no longer just a history book of cool stories, it becomes fresh food and living water for our souls!

The more one is taken up in a relationship with Jesus the more the desires of this world begin to fall off and truly mean nothing!

Go after Jesus with all you have!

Blessings in Jesus Name!!!
