Our soul must have the Bread of Life, and there’s a time set apart for this feeding with Jesus!
“So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “This is the bread which the Lord has given you to eat. This is the thing which the Lord has commanded: ‘Let every man gather it according to each one’s need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.’ ” Then the children of Israel did so and gathered, some more, some less. So when they measured it by omers, he who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack. Every man had gathered according to each one’s need. And Moses said, “Let no one leave any of it till morning.” Notwithstanding they did not heed Moses. But some of them left part of it until morning, and it bred worms and stank. And Moses was angry with them. So they gathered it every morning, every man according to his need. And when the sun became hot, it melted.” (Exodus 16:15-21)
“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.” (Mark 1:35)
“And Abraham went early in the morning to the place where he had stood before the Lord.” (Genesis 19:27)
“So be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself to Me there on the top of the mountain.” (Exodus 34:2)
“My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.” (Psalms 5:3)
“But to You I have cried out, O Lord, And in the morning my prayer comes before You.” (Psalms 88:13)
“And in the morning the word of the Lord came to me, saying," (Ezekiel 12:8)
“You shall daily make a burnt offering to the Lord of a lamb of the first year without blemish; you shall prepare it every morning. And you shall prepare a grain offering with it every morning, a sixth of an ephah, and a third of a hin of oil to moisten the fine flour. This grain offering is a perpetual ordinance, to be made regularly to the Lord. Thus they shall prepare the lamb, the grain offering, and the oil, as a regular burnt offering every morning.” (Ezekiel 46:13-15)
“Then early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him.” (Luke 21:38)
We must realize we are not just fed for ourselves, but to help feed others!
“If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” (Isaiah 58:10-11)
There is a wonderful union and partnership with Jesus, who is the Bread of Life. You see all it really takes to make unleavened bread is two ingredients, Grain and Oil! This is a prophetic revelation of the Father (Grain) and the Holy Spirit (Oil), as Jesus being the Bread had both the Father and the Spirit in Him.
So what is the other ingredient that adds tastes and preserves? Salt! What did Jesus say about His people?
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.” (Matthew 5:13)
Beloved, this is the union we are now invited into with the Lord!
“I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” (John 17:23)
Delighting in and consuming the Bread of Life and letting the Word have its work within your heart and life, is when it’s seasoned. Then as you begin to share with others, the power of what worked through you then flows into the hearts of others, and they encounter the Light of Life!!!
I pray you hear and see what the Spirit is revealing and accept the invitation into the intimate union that the Lord Jesus deeply desires with you!!!
