Word Received on 1/12/24

As I was spending time with Jesus this morning He began to speak to me about the return to the simplicity of secrecy. He took me to Matthew chapter six and really began to minister to my heart from here.

“Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭1‬-‭4‬)

I believe in an age full of social media outlets many children of God have given up eternal rewards for temporal praise of man. Much done in the name of “ministry” or falsely masked with “giving Jesus glory”. Beloved there is a measure of pride in the human heart that seeks to be known and recognized. That place can get puffed up very quickly and so it must be dealt with and guarded.

The Lord is really coming for purity in His Bride and having right motives is very key! I’m speaking as having come through this a few years back. Beloved, there are things Jesus will ask us to do, yet it was never meant to be shared with anyone, but for us to fully trust He will one day reward us.

I pray those in the Kingdom begin to see the truth of the word, find comfort in knowing Jesus sees it all, and we return to the simplicity of secrecy and find our joy in what delights the Lord and not from the praise of man!

Here is a passage many come to and use it as a means of what they must "do" to please Jesus, and sadly some end up "sounding the trumpet before them". I pray the Holy Spirit give you eyes to see and understand the deeper meaning of this.

"Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me." (Matthew 25:34-40)

Every righteous deed should simply be overflow from a life in the secret place, and being led by the Holy Spirit! It shouldn’t be done for a post, picture, or video!

Beloved, Jesus is enough!!!
