Word of the Week- Beloved "agapētos"

The word of the week is going to be beloved, which is the Greek word “agapētos (ag-ap-ay-tos'). It is found 62x in the KJV, and the gloss definition is beloved, esteemed, dear, favorite, worthy of love. Yet as with many key words found in scripture is there more we can come to learn of this word?There is a phrase we can see used throughout the New Testament, “Dearly beloved”. Praise is the joyful recognition of all God has done for us. It is associated with thanksgiving as we offer back to God gratefulness for His mighty works on our behalf. Praise is universal and can be applied to other relationships as well. We can praise our family, friends, boss, etc. Praise does not require much of us. The Greek word for sanctification is “hagiasmos (hag-ee-as-mos’)." This word is used 10x in the KJV. It means consecration, purification, and sanctification of the heart and life, to live holy unto God.
