In Mark 5 we see the story of the demoniac, who has 6,000 demons (Mark 5:1-20), and they ask to be sent into a herd of pigs. I’ve always felt another layer of revelation was to be seen in this passage of scripture. Let’s dig in a bit!  Why 2,000 pigs? Most people don’t realize how many hours they have in a week. Sadly many excuses are brought up when challenged to how much time is spent in prayer and study of the Word of God. Let’s do a simple breakdown here. There are 168 hours in a week. Set aside 56 hours a week for sleep (that’s 8 hours a night many only need 6), 50 hours for work/school (that’s 10 hours of overtime built in), 20 hours for getting ready and eating meals, and 15 for recreation (sports, entertainment, hobbies, etc.).
