Proper Presentation of the Gospel

Posted by Iron Sharp on

Scripture reveals a clear way the Gospel is to be presented to those in the world. Let’s take a look! “For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true. And you know of our concern for you from the way we lived when we were with you. So you received the message with joy from the Holy Spirit in spite of the severe suffering it brought you. In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord.”...

The Importance of a Label!

Posted by Iron Sharp on

Have you ever been in the grocery store and you come across a can with no label? This can may be the last one sitting in the spot where the ingredient you need is to be. Now what? Without the picture and colorful lettering, how can you know what's inside?Would you still buy it and hope for the best? This is a big important dinner, are you able to take that risk? Two of the four chapters I see the Holy Spirit highlighting this year are Jeremiah 24 and Matthew 24. I want to launch this study from the key verse below, but what is revealed at the end of this study connects to Jeremiah 24.  “For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.” (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭5‬) Now this verse has heavily been preached and taught as a warning of those who personally come claiming to be the Messiah. It’s also been said beware of those who come claiming their anointing. I say yes to...

Flesh vs. Spirit

Posted by Iron Sharp on

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭21‬:‭8‬-‭12‬ (‭NLT‬‬)“When Isaac grew up and was about to be weaned, Abraham prepared a huge feast to celebrate the occasion. But Sarah saw Ishmael—the son of Abraham and her Egyptian servant Hagar—making fun of her son, Isaac. So she turned to Abraham and demanded, “Get rid of that slave woman and her son. He is not going to share the inheritance with my son, Isaac. I won’t have it!” This upset Abraham very much because Ishmael was his son. But God told Abraham, “Do not be upset over the boy and your servant. Do whatever Sarah tells you, for...
