“And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.” (John‬ ‭16‬:‭8‬-‭11‬) This passage is speaking of three things the Holy Spirit does in the earth. 1. He convicts of sin, notice this doesn’t say sins, but is singular, the sin of wrong identity, eating of the wrong fruit. People’s behaviors and habits that we classify as sin is...

“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” (John‬ ‭15‬:‭2‬) There is a great revelation to be seen in this verse, that reveals the true heart of the Father. Many have preached this verse from a root of fear, planting a twisted thought in people that if they are not bearing fruit the Father will cut them off… This is dangerous for those early in the faith. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15) The phrase “rightly dividing” in the KJV is the Greek word (G3718) orthotomeo (or-thot-om-eh-o) only appears once in the New Testament. The Strong’s Concordance defines it like this: - to cut straight, to cut straight ways, to proceed on straight paths, hold a straight course, equiv. to doing right - to make straight and smooth, to handle aright, to teach the truth directly and correctly So why did the KJV translators choose the phrase “rightly dividing”...

“Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.” (John‬ ‭13‬:‭26‬) During this time this was an act of great friendship and intimacy. To share choice bits of food with a friend, and this reveals the genuine love of Jesus! Even though betrayal was already in Judas’ heart Jesus still loved him the same. It makes you wonder how anyone could accept this gift of friendship and still hold onto treachery and betrayal (unrepented sin)....
